Pros: good to eat when very small
make a great sponge
good productivity
likes the heat
grows fast
Cons: can't eat them past about 6 inches
takes a lot of space
We really enjoyed growing Luffa this summer season and will likely grow them again. They do taste nice when small - sweeter than zucchini and delightful steamed and coated with real butter.

Pros: Heavy cropper and great tasting mandarin.
Easy to peel.
Great for lunch boxes
Cons: Can be a biennial fruiter or fruit heavily one year then not much the next year.
Birds and wildlife to like the fruit also but I don't net my tree as it usually produces enough fruit for everyone.
Overall, I rate our Imperial Mandarin as one of our best and most productive fruit trees - ever our dog eats them (as long as the peel is removed for him) and they're just so easy to eat as a garden snack.

Aphids can be a problem on new shoots but a spray with garden oil or pyrethrum does the trick. Birds do love eating the fruit but they tend to come late in the season when the fruit is overdue for picking and anyway they never damage too much produce.

This is my favourite mandarin and a great tree to have in the home garden!

Pros: Taste awesome, easy to grow, and very productive.
Cons: None I can think of...
As per my "author" review I love this tomato and have grown it for many years. It's a rippa! :)

I did forget to mention the yellow cherry tomato grows almost all year here in the subtropics except for the hottest part of summer where they do die off to come back again as the weather cools down.
Pros: lots of room, easy access, cheap to build, fast and easy to build
Cons: no cons I can think of really - I guess you do need room for this type of composting system
This is a top way to build a compost heap or bays for a serious gardener and garden.
Pros: Awesome design for high rainfall area, lots of space, looks good
Cons: Working with large rocks is heavy work
This project to rock in my vegetable garden and gravel the surrounding pathways has worked a treat!
Matthew Evans is one of the most down to earth self-sufficiency writers/presenters you'll ever see.
Thanks for sharing your dragon fruit pics - very interesting! You'll need a cherry picker to get to that plant up the gum tree when it fruits! :)
I own one Light Sussex and she is definitely one of my favourite chicken breeds.
For the price, this is a really good buy instead of spending hundreds on a named dehydrator. Thanks for the review :)

Certainly a book I keep close by my arm chair :)

Well done Stevo. That's a great knock up for an afternoons work. Coffee table, fire-pit, and BBQ all in one. Double thumbs up.
Pros: Saves money in the long term.
Helps put stored water to good use.
Low cost to make.
Great little DIY for using tank water to flush a toilet instead of town.
Pros: Low mess, pest free, etc as per my showcase post
Cons: small amount of feed spill and limited holding capacity (4 kg)
Great chicken feeder!
Pros: As mentioned in my showcase review
Would have given it 5 stars if it had more pics.
Pros: As described
Get it on eBay or Amazon and good book stores
