We all have those little pieces of advice that we copy, screenshot, or write down because they’re worth remembering. If you have any saved messages, notes, or chats related to poultry, gardening, foraging, preserving, or homesteading, share them here. I’m interested in seeing the lines or quotes that made enough sense for you to keep.

This may feel a little further off-topic but.
"You know you're not on the clock right?"
I am a carer for someone, and hadn't had a day off for 2.5+ years. And suddenly I did have a few days off last week. I think I needed the reminder that it's okay for me to have fun.

Not being on the clock, as in not being at work. Life isn't (or at least shouldn't be) being on the clock 24/7. I needed the reminder, and we ended up having fun and being silly for no reason other than because we could 🤗

A tip from me:
Gardening for mental health reasons shouldn't be work! If it's work, you're not doing it right!
I am currently growing plants ONLY because I like the way they smell. Yes, I could use them in cooking, but that's not their purpose. They are just there to bring me joy, and so I can pinch off a few leaves and smell them.
