Starting the journey..........

What ClissAt said i find the meter a wast of time and money just use the kit

Beautiful beds! Mine are more Frankenbeds, hobbled together with leftover railroad ties and chicken wire!

Don't bother getting a meter.
Just get a simple test kit.

Splurged on the ph test kit from Bunnings this morning. The bed with mature flowering snow peas is showing a ph of 5.5 to 6. Given they are growing and fruiting well, not going to play with the soil ph of that bed. Fingers crossed for the test Kipflers in that bed.

Strangely the ph meter from Bunnings was 2/3's of the price of the kit.

Thanks again ClissAT & Robbie for the comments / tips.

The meters are not reliably accurate.
An accurate meter is around the $100 mark, needs 4 batteries and is used in the hydroponics industry.
