Help with brassicas

I'm having some trouble with my brassicas that I haven't encountered before and need some help identifying the problem. Some of my seedlings are developing light spots, starting to curl, and eventually (after days/a couple weeks) dying off despite new growth and strong stems. I've never had a problem in the past. Even the healthy cabbage plants that I planted out last week have suffered in the garden. I'll post some pictures for better reference since I don't think I'm describing the problem as accurately as I could. Any help is appreciated.

Could be root rot from overwatering. Have you been getting a lot of rain there? High rainfall also activates fungi that would otherwise not affect plant foliage so much. I've had a terrible time with powdery mildew this year destroying my curcubit leaves, and I grow in pots on an 18th floor balcony!

I meant to mention that yes, we did have a lot of rain the first 2-3 days after planting out in the garden. And to be honest, my watering on some of the seedlings that suffered was inconsistent at first.

yeah, looks like mildew I think youl wil need to start anew with your brassicas.

Thank you both for the help, I'm going to try direct sowing in a different spot and see if I get better results. This is the first year I started them early indoors so maybe direct sow is the way to go.

It could be. Or maybe it was just that the weather fought you a bit. It happens even to the best of us

I have problems (understatement). I hadn't checked on the cabbages for a few days and - ugh!! Are these aphids - never happened before - and the cure??

Oh my, that is quite the infestation. I do think that they are indeed cabbage aphids.
Everyone has different ways of dealing with them. Personally I deal with aphids by blasting them off with water, letting the foilage dry and then generously spray the plant with Eco-Neem oil.

Fed the chooks! Will need to keep a weather eye of the patch and stock up on neem eco-oil!! Was an interesting exercise in working out the difference between "eco" oil and "ordinary oil. Thanking you for the advice.
