Hello,
I am originally from the East Coast of the U.S., but I have lived in the desert for about 30 years now.
I have always loved growing plants and seem to outgrow whatever space I have to work with
I find that living in an extreme climate as I do, that it is important to have what I refer to as "backbone"
plants such as wind/sun breakers whether they come in the form as a tree or hedge.
Two years ago, I completely leapt into growing my own food and have resigned myself to never buying
at least leafy greens from the store - no matter how slow of a start some of my crops get off to
I just received red wiggler worms from a local company and introduced them to a few raised beds and barrels
so I hope they thrive ...
I am glad to be here and I can't wait to learn from all of you.
