N - Day neutral plants will bloom when the plant is old enough or mature enough
S - Short day plants trigger blooms when days are shorter then critical length most often as days are less then 12 hrs
L - Long day plants well set blooms when day period exceeds critical point long then 12 hours common is when days are close to 14 hours

( growing under artificial lights the length of time for the lights along with the lights intensity can affect the cycle triggering bloom )
