Few days ago I noticed the very bottom leaves of my chili plant were looking odd. Yellowish with spots on them, I touched them and they fell off.

Next day another bottom leaf had taken the same form. I removed it and today I noticed another bottom leaf showing same symptoms. Here are the images:

On the back side some white powder can be seen. Please help me identify this issue, little worried since it looks like it is spreading.

This is another leaf which is was green in the front but the back side showed some kite of fungus:

Scale (not fungus), a sucking insect like aphids. You can squash them by rubbing your thumb and finger along the leaves. I've heard that giving your soil a watering of sugar solution (3%, so 30 grams in 1 litre - DO NOT GET IT ON THE PLANTS - water the soil only, just before or during rain or can-watering) can sugar-shock sucking insects to death. Sugar-suckers like scale and aphids have specialised digestive systems that cannot handle a sudden influx of sugar and they can die on the plant from the sudden sugar shock.

Encouraging predators like ladybugs is also worthwhile.

Sometimes the sucking insects bring or induce fungal disease, yes. Sometimes it's just a defensive response from the plant.

"You're attacking that leaf, are you aphids? Alrighty, I'll drop it!"
