chicken coop

Hi, I'm in the NT in Australia. Looking at building a hoop house to grow and keep chickens in. How high should the snake mesh be? I have 1200. Was going to bury some but really would of felt better if I had 1800 to play with. Bury 300 and have 1500 above FFL. Thoughts?
