What's the best way to compost chicken poop?

Hi, I'm located on the far south coast of NSW and new to the forum. Thanks for all the great information. My question relates to what methods chicken keepers use to compost their chicken poop. At the moment, I have a freestyle pile of poop, straw, dirt and sand which grows higher each day. I am keeping it separated from the compost system as the straw takes longer to breakdown than most of the kitchen waste. However, now I have a great big valuable pile of aged and new manure, etc and wondering how to start using it. How do others dispose of/make best use of their chook house scrapings?

Welcome @Lulu ! :D
Straw composts pretty quickly too, so I would personally mix it into my compost along with the chicken poop. It's quite alright if it's not a 100% composted as it'll break down in your garden bed. I think straw, on average, breaks down in about 6 weeks, which isn't too bad at all.
If you've ever used straw as mulch, you'll know that it breaks down fairly well into your bed over time. It's thusly definitely not uncommom for straw to get mixed in with the dirt a little bit anyway.

I would also recommend this video by Mark himself;

I use deep litter method. In my coop is pine shavings i got at local feed store. I put in new shavings about 1x every other month on top of the old ones. It stays dry and breaks down with their droppings! I only clear it all out 2x a yr! 1 in the spring ... getting ready to do it now... and again before winter. All the shaving and poop get tilled into the garden! Ez peezy!
Hope it helps
