What to put in raised bed

Dear all,

I'm beginner in Permaculture. I would like to start it with a raised bed.

My soul is 83% of sand. I plan to put wood and green materials, fertils groud and to protect all coconuts fiber.

My question is, what I can put between soil and wood? nothing, stone, carton.....

You can go soil on the wood just fine.

I went newspapers due to using bush mulch as my bulking product (no access to proper wood) - no guarantee that it was weed free so was just peace of mind that nothing was going to pop up

Thank you very much to your answer. I'm in Thaïland and I don't have access to some materials. I have some wood, and some died leaves. I order some ground to fetilise my raised bed.
