Yesterday I was in the country. If I had done the gardening / outside work first, I would have stayed dry...I'd looked at weather radar, but the only storm cell I saw was a long way off and I didn't check back in to see the fast moving cell coming from a different direction. After it passed I was able to take a few photos so I thought I'd share.
This is the thunderstorm after it went through.
Edge of the cell lit up by the sun.
Sky over the brassica etc. bed.
Gore-Tex boots only help so much...I was soaked and I'm sure my boots are still damp. Pants are soaked too.
Looking SE, roughly in the direction the cell moved.
Approximately 180 degrees shift from the previous photo.
