Violet Sicilian Cauliflower

If you like a little extra colour in you garden try this one it just makes smile when I look at it. My wife put the flower in the middle for scale but it make the colour pop.
It tastes like a normal cauliflower but it looses it's colour when cooking which is disappointing.

Just beautiful, and the name alone is enticing...congratulations on growing such a perfect specimen too! It is disappointing when the purple vegies lose colour in cooking, like the Purple King beans but they still always look great in the garden.

you could cook it with beetroot, then everything will be purple ( I made that mistake when I roasted some beetroot in the same pan as the rest of my roast once)
