Whats your Favourite Vinegar you like to use for "Pickling" or just on ya favourite serve of Hot chips and Potato cakes

i really like the Above "Spiced Malt" but i also love my "Brown Malt" for Pickled Onions !!!

P.S For the People from overseas these are "Potato Cakes" slices of potato dipped in batter then deep fried !! YUMMM !!!

^^ POTATO CAKES !! .. some VERY weird people spell it "Scollop" but they are wrong ... 🤣🤣🤣🤣
 
oh good one , i have to say i use numerous types of vinegar it depends what i am cooking or eating, rice ginger and oriental style i like the rice vinegar to me its a cleaner subtle taste some styles of also do well with a black vinegar , something that is starchy and for fish & chips - heavier fried food or stronger flavored food i like a malt vinegar, i make numerous sauces and dressings with a balsamic or wine vinegar, pie crust and pastry i have always used white and some cases apple cider vinegar.
 
I really like my very basic white vinegar, as that's what we grew up with in The Netherlands. We'd use it on liver sausage as it'd enhance the taste. I'm drooling just thinking of it.

i LOVE my Home made Mint sauce (99% Vinegar) for some bbq Boerewors to dip in or sprinkle over top !! .. YUMMMM !!!!

there is also a South African "Flavour's" Boerewors that i really like as well, It goes great with Mint sauce or some homemade gravy to dip in !!
aiming towards a property where i can "Grow" meat etc to make homemade versions .....

Gosh, we would always have boereworswish a mashed potato dish. Never had it with a mint sauce though, but sounds delicious!
