Oh that sounds very frustrating. Sorry I don't have any advice or knowledge to share.
We only just bought our first home but the agent was great, very helpful for us. But before her we had a gentleman who was a bit dismissive and too busy.
If you could find that one agent who cares about their clients more then you would be fine.
