Here we have a French Breakfast radish. I prefer these over the globe ones since I typically get more radish for the space. Anyway, they were a bit slow to get started this year, and the heat is starting to promote bolting. I pulled this one the other day and I’ve never seen a rood like this before.

While the lower taproot isn’t really of value in the way of food, the entire root was 10” (about 25 cm) long. There’s usually a bit of taproot beyond the bulbous part, but this length surprised me. I guess we might have some decent tilth in our raised beds for this first year.
