I've grown turmeric myself before. Grew really easily and required little care. Just fertilise and water every once in a while. All I had to do is dig a chunk of turmeric rhyzomes in to the ground, and it did all the work on it's own. It had huge leaves and I enjoyed looking at it :D

Um actually right now growing some ginger and turmeric. The outer circle is ginger, in the middle sits turmeric.

Huh, they look different from mine. For me they already come out of the ground looking like large-ish leaves.
Wouldn't they compete too much in that pot though?

not at the moment. And I don't have more space 😅 remember it's -9°C outside 🥶 and thats the only place where I can put such a large pot in our flat. As it is it would fall off without support between the radiator and the pot. the Windowsills are all just 12 cm wide...🙈 maybe in Spring (around late march ore AprilI'll give it a bigger pot

Ah yes, understandable. I've "abandoned" some turmeric in a rectangular planter and it's recently started sprouting again. It'd be about 3x the time of your pot (probably) and I had put 3 pieces in it way back. I think I "abandoned" some small pieces and 2 palm sized pieces maybe. Not sure. It gave me more than what I knew what to do with. One day I hope to set up a solar dryer though, so I can sun dry them. I have also contemplated slicing them up and hanging them in those fabric veggie bags. I really should try that... hmm.

Aweosme! Looks like we were working alongside eachother, haha.

Ah yeah, looks a bit more like turmeric now. I wonder what the "rootball" is going to look like later on. I know mine competed tons, though they were in a more shallow, rectangular container.

:D

A new addition has been made; dandelions!
