Hi,
We have recently moved to Medowie in NSW which is near Newcastle. Just wondering what type of climate it is here? I want to get my vegetable garden going again but not sure what to plant.
Any help/tips would be much appreciated

Great area, Tash. My wife and I visit Medowie Macadamias about 3 or 4 times a year to load up on oil and kernels. It's a great drive and the fish & chips shop down at Lemon Tree Passage is great too! You'll have good success growing things there.

If you google Newcastle Community Garden you will find there are a few in the area. I would go and ask them for advice. Being on the borderline and dependng what sort of winter you get will make the difference in whether you can grow ie stoned fruit or not, and the growing season. I am in Coffs 3 hrs. away, and sub tropical and usually close down Nov. to Jan in planting stuff because of the heat and humidity and bees not around to propagate.
