I believe there is a steak mushroom that is edible and has similar textures to beef. You could probably season that with bacon seasoning to taste just like that 
ohh i love Mushrooms ... but sadly at the moment i cant have them where i am right now (dont even have space inside for a simple button mushroom box 😭😭😭) ... once we move to the new property i will set up another shipping container for mushrooms ! ....
i really LOVE Enoki Mushrooms great in stir frys, rice, pies, in Gravy and on steak.... easy to grow in glass bottles ....

I have never tried growing mushrooms, but maybe I should give it a shot!
this company here Makes Mushroom Kits (but does not sell them you need to look up the retailer in your state)
very easy just pick the mushrooms that suit ypur taste and most of all check the "Temp" ranges for that mushroom kit against your climate (keep in mind most mushroom kits work best in dark places .. bottom of wardrobe, cupboards etc)
