Recent news: The USA has recently released a new hardiness zone map, which is much more up to date, accurate, detailed, and interactive than the old one. Some of the zones have changed a bit over time as well, so some people might find they've been bumped up or down into a different zone now. The new version can be found here: https://planthardiness.ars.usda.gov/

hate to tell them they still dont get the zones right they show use here -15 to -20 F and we have point of -30 very regular bases in winter for miles around here but that does not surprise me because they cant even get my roads name correct depends whos map you look at it is listed under 4 different names.

This made me laugh, because I know exactly how frustrating that is. The weather readings are never quite right, the only accurate storm warnings for my area come from locals paying attention to the horizons, we get no frost warnings and are told we can't grow high chill plants here, but we do and we can. People's roofs get blown off, sheds and fences fly down the street, but the weather reading said we had a light breeze. Remote living, gotta love it.

like us a few years back yes. chance of a light dusting , then 2 to 4 inches snow, then accumulations 3 to 6 inches. With temperatures in mid 20's to mid 30's F :hysterical::hysterical:
the out come was 3 1/2+ feet ( 1.07 m ) of snow and drift as high as 6 to 8 feet ( 1.8 to 2.4m ) and at mid day it was almost warm enough they managed to start the plows bucket loaders and bulldozer to start clearing roads because it drop to -35 (-37c) as the storm front passed and wind chill to -80 (-62c) can you say oops someone wasn't watching their weather instruments to well
