Hi all, relatively new here.
I’ve currently got a field opposite my house in Kyoto, but I also have been doing an allotment for the last year or so.
It’s coming into winter here, so it was finally time to harvest my satoimo (taro).
I got about 5kg, so really happy.
I also had 2 mini daikon (Japanese radish) a carrot or 2 (have loads but only pick what we need), a purple kale, and a parsnip. Unfortunately the parsnip snapped and it was really woody and hard in the middle, so I don’t know what was wrong with it.
But it smelled and tasted great!
I’ve also included some pictures of the food my wife turned the harvest into.
