My little grow op

They're all totally worth it. We're lucky to have our dogs.

Today I forgot to turn on the grow lights... glad I at least opened the windows.

Do you have a timer for your gowlight?
My partner and I use something called GridConnect in our house. I love using it to turn off the lights when already in bed, so I don't have to stumble around in the dark. But it also allows you to set timers. Either stopwatch-y, by the minute/hour, and what days you'd like it. We even use it for a little portable heater during winter, so it turns on half an hour before my partner wakes up to get ready for work.

The plants look great by the way!

I have an outlet timer that I used last year I just keep forgetting to set up. 😓
I'm going to do a big over haul and set buckets up and lighting for the peppers and tomatoes as well as the greens bed on Sunday. 🤞
Now that I've said that watch it rain my one day off. (I moved the table saw to the shed so can only use outside now...)

I hear you - I was looking forward to Winter gardening so much I forgot to set up for it

I mean. maybe the rain is telling you to relax. No worries, stay cosy, maybe make a chocolate milk with whipped cream. Or maybe that's what I'd like to do

Right?? It was so cold for so long here and then was just boom warm. And I was suddenly a month late planting...

After like a week some Lettuce sprouted from my old seeds. So transplanted into pucks. Well see how they do. Maybe 50% germination...

ok a couple minor suggestions the tomatoes will grow tall and enormous one suuggestion a panel for the lights to the shine at the plants from front and rear spaced from about foot above bucket at rows , i see three assuming there may be a fourth put two in fron two behin and a reflective mylar to act like a tent to concentrate the lights. cover the the area below the plants with a sheet of reflective film this maximizes the light affect like here you can see the reflective film in the back , some beds i even have it direct on top of the ntft rails

@daveb Thanks! Definitely want to get some mylar. Home Depot Canada seems to have stopped stocking it so have been looking at Amazon. Can you recommend a thickness? I'm going to end up with nearly 20 buckets I think.... 😓

Not sure how everyone's doing! Works been busy and not a lot of free time around my parts but thought I'd post an update!

Haha, I think many of us have been in a similar situation.
They look awesome, and have grown so much! Easily tripled in size in just over a month - wowza! You're definitely doing something right!

Are the little ones plants you started later on?

The small ones in front are my peppers. I didn't have the buckets to plant them right away so they're behind the tomatoes and beans.

And the two little pots on top of the buckets are sweet and thai basil
