i am going to toss a number of recipes of pickles from great grandmothers , grandmother aunts and mom records up to share, enjoy and eat well. Many of these have fallen out of use by people today and lost but some are pickles i grew up munching on growing up on grandparents farm in the 60's. please excuse the scribble writing on a few when you are trying to keep up with someone rattling along in old french canadian and listening and writing at same time it got crazy.

So glad I learned to read/write cursive at school. I pity this modern generation that would have great difficulty deciphering that elegant scribble!
makes me wonder if i should also type them out it straight up text form because you are right most today do not learn nor can they read old cursive, I translate old parish records i laugh thinking about people trying to read those in how cursive style changed over the centuries

Wow, thanks for taking the time to post these recipes; some of my favorite foods are unavailable to me here unless I make them from scratch, and many newer recipes are based on prepared foods 😁 Hate to see information get "out-cycled" that might prove to be important!!! Like pickle recipes!!!!

I have found the same since moving to New Zealand from the US - difficult to find the foods I like unless I grow and prepare from scratch.

I moved from The Netherlands (temperate) to (sub) Tropical QLD in Australia. Most foods I enjoyed don't exist here, and I cannot grow them as it's too hot. I have contemplated shipping in the veg or checking out some odd food stores. I'll have to learn how to make it from scratch though, haha.

And I miss the food safety. I really miss eating raw beef 😅

dig cellar cap it and cover it with only a hatch way to enter drop power to it with artificial lights got subterranian style lol
