Massive Beetroot! World record? :)

Check out this humongous beetroot I picked today!

It weighs 2.2 kg but because my kitchen scales would only go up to 2 kg I had to cut it in half to get the exact weight

Answers: Yes & No

When I was weeding my patch I found this stray beetroot (when it was small) so I transplanted it on it's own into a bed I had recently dressed with horse manure and blood & bone. From there, it never looked back! I do remember sprinkling it with some compost bucket juice so could that have been the difference? The rest of my beet crop (in a separate bed) all grew well but to normal size.
