In this wonderful video, Mark gives us some TOP TIPS on how to fill your raised garden bed WITHOUT SOIL.

Listed below are some of the things he used.

Leftover pottingmix
Use your leftover pottingmix over and over again by using it to top up your raised garden bed. WIth some added nutrients you can easily bring back life to it.

Compost
Chockers with nutrients. People like this both turned into the soil and/or as a topup. A good bed reviver.

Manure
Well aged manure can be an amazing addition to any raised bed. Fresh manure can be used too, but can produce too much head or be too acidic for plants to grow. Broken down manure can be grown in straight away. Manure is often used in combination with green compost, fertiliser, soil and/or straw/mulch.

Mulch
Another good layer of mulch both protects the new additions, and will break down into becoming it's own addition over time. It helps in many ways, keeping weeds out and moisture locked in.
