Hello just joined from marks youtube videos. I'm from nsw Australia and pretty new to gardening . I've recently set up a compost bin ,built a raised garden bed and have planted seeds in little pots to get them started . I do have a quick question about throwing tea bags in the compost that I never hear mentioned, do the metal staples not matter in them? I've personally been ripping them out but on videos people just throw them in . Thanks

Hello @Jerrysberrys , welcome to the forum!
I would personally remove the metal staples as simply they wouldn't decompose and I'd probably cut my hands on them as I like putting my hands in the soil.

Something else to keep in mind is depending on the brand some of the bags are made from PLA plastic & won't break down in a home compost system.
Ahh ok thanks for the tip ill have to check what they are
