We've had a horribly busy time since my last showoff. There's been a lot happening in life and my garden has taken a backburner. However, I'm trying to get back into it. I'm working on my own wellbeing and this is something I'd like to come back to life. I've been lousy in the garden and it shows. This might be the least intricate showoff thusfar, but I'm looking forward to the next
Since last week I've been trying to get back into my garden and I'm working on bringing life back in to them. Mostly by actually watering them again, and trying to weed a bit where I can. These plants have been severely neglected, but they seem to still be begging for more
I'm hoping that by next time I might have some raised garden beds set up, or an actual gardening area away from the patio. Though the main issue might be that we have a lot of tall trees and bushes surrounding the parts of the property that I can grow in (where the cows won't eat it, haha). For now they still live on and around the patio.
Also, I've not currently taken pictures of my indoor plants yet.
Monstera Deliciosa, it's had fruit and is currently still fruiting. We are thinking of cutting her down as she might be damaging the wall she's attached to.
Some Aloe Vera, passionfruit vines (and seedlings), Afrikan Banana tree (that desperately needs to be put in the ground somewhere).
Birds-eye view of the passionfruit growing over my home-made trellis. This is a sweet purple variety.
In those vines you might see the plastic bottles. They are bottles cut in half (we did this before Cans for Change were something I was aware of) with old electrical wire. Rodents really like the passionfruit when they fall on the ground, so we catch them in these "cups" so we can actually enjoy them ourselves (though we give the majority away)
My grandfather-in-law's maidenhair and fern. I've given them a harsh cutback last week and they are recovering. The maidenhair seems to have loved it though.
A sucker of the original pineapple plant, now starting to flower
My rosemary plant. A large pot suspended over an old iron bin.
My very neglected and fairly sick lemonade tree. She was my pride and joy once, but I just couldn't keep up with the aphids. She's overgrown in all the wrong ways and has barely any life left in her. The fruit hasn't looked right lately and I've not even bothered taking them off.
2 of my very neglected chives. These were some of my very first plants I ever bought, and have been with me all the way. I think they'll desperately need some fresh soil by now. That and/or fertiliser.
My oregano (in front) and nepitella (in the back).
An experiment I started a couple of months back. I put some storebought ginger in a pot. Seems to be doing quite well
Another pineapple plant that's been flowering for quite a while. I think that this might be the head of the first grown pineapple. Below might be either another sucker or that might be the head... as I have another head sitting inside and I've only grown 2 pineapples thusfar.
Grandfather-in-law's tree. It's supposed to attract ulysses butterfly.
Only repotted it minutes before deciding to take pictures. Lemongrass
Moses in a Cradle. I thought it looked pretty, and wanted to decorate the property with it.
My "seedling table" that simply became what it is. It's got the moses in the cradle in the back, some green onions, a nearly dead lemonbalm and 2 strawberry plants.
The patio table and bench with a vast variety of plants. Some of which I do not currently recall the name of.
Now for those orchid flowers!
