Garden after storms

Garden is looking sad after heavy rains yesterday. You can see a bit of my latest experiment to save water and keep plants alive here in East Texas: Grass fed garden. I cut grass with a scythe then use it for a deep mulch. Unlike mower trimmings it doesn't bunch up and keep the water from getting through.

Very fascinating! You don't hear about scythes all that often anymore, let alone that they use grass that way to use for mulch!
Your garden looks lovely though. Very well cared for
