My hubby and I do a lot of camping when we holiday but every now and then we may find we need to stay in a local motel. Like many others we have use sites like Wotif and Tivago to book our motel not realises the consequences for the actual motel.

Dick Smith shines a light on this issue and shares how we can support our local motels and keep the money in Australia. Please watch and share around

Watched this vid a week or so back.
Bit of an eye opener.
You always think you are doing the right thing using local businesses.
But there are so many unrealized layers to get through to that local business it is hard to know these days if you are doing it right.

Just a side note.... The door to his office opens and closes during the video!

Spot on with not realising all of the different layers. There seems to be so many big organisations behind things we don’t realise it. It’s hard to know who you are supporting.

Ha ha didn’t notice the door, He is very passionate.

Saw this some time ago also. Not something that is self-evident, so well worth informing the general population about. The middle-man in any transaction is not the guy we should support.
