MMM I do understand the advantages of this type of living... but you would have to have a very community inclined personality I would think...... The support to be able to live off the grid would be great and direct access to other like minded people for help. You can also do so much more as a group for less effort.

Has a tinge of Amish about it

For those who would like this type of community living there are lots of advantages. And I have to tip my hat at the self-sufficiency aspects even if it's not my kind of lifestyle.
