I have a few citrus trees in my yard and this year they all got hit pretty bad by citrus moths. Except for my lime free for some reason? I’ve seen mention of the fruit bags to cover fruit on the tree, are they a good defence against citrus moths?

Bagging is a good defence but this year I was also hit by this moth and we lost about 50 oranges, however, they seemed to only last about a week and were gone leaving the rest of our crop to ripen fine.

We still have hundreds.

So bagging is probably necessary only if your fruit is on the verge of ripening when the moths hit and/or you don't have many fruit to begin with and need to protect what you have.
