Heys!

I just wanted to know if anyone makes balms etc from bees wax?
We have bees and I'm after something easy to make with easily sourced ingredients.
Has anyone got any good easy recipes?

Thanks :)

I don't have bees, but we're hoping on getting some in the future! So I'm following this thread to hopefully learn something ;)
Unfortunately, since my partner has decided to keep bees, it seems that I have found myself allergic to their stings. But I do love everything about them, except when they're chasing me around the yard :/

We want to gate native, stingless bees ourselves, to avoid that exact issue! There is no befriending said bees?

We have both, native and european. He won't part with his Euro's :( I used to help him care for them but I got stung a few too many times and now I'm not game to get stung again. Last time I had hives from top to toe and my nose and lips were going numb. So, in saying that, I give them a wide birth these days. But it isn't so much fun when I'm trying to plant or weed and they take a disliking or an interest in what I'm doing.
We've been trying to educt a native colony that decided to set up home in our sandstone retaining wall ag pipe but it seems that they don't want to create brood in our box, only honey and pollen pots. I suppose that it makes it easier to rob them of their honey this way. We don't have to break any brood to rob them, which is nice.
