The Yandina Community Gardens group (The Blue House, Yandina) is selling one of their aquaponics systems.
I have seen it working each time I was there I it always seemed to be working well although I never saw the fish that came out of it.
Here is the link to it in their latest newsletter.

wonder why they're selling it, too much maintenance for the volunteers maybe?

That could be so Steve, although I think it is more likely a change in direction of the group.
They had a much more sophisticated system a few years ago but have slowly been disassembling it as time went on.

They sound great if you put the time in to them. Maybe all the volunteers are on facebook too much and have less time .. hehe

Not for me... Never been keen on aquaponics - I find it interesting but am still sceptical about what kind of consistent results can be gained via home systems.

No good for me we always kill any fish we have. My mum left her 2 gold fish with us when she went away one time and no joke they kept jumping out of the bowl. needless to say they didn’t last long.

Bit like me trying to keep those four legged snapping shell things... Pets for some, broom broom cars for someones son, or escapees onto main roads when their tank is turned into a fish tank and they get put into a pond...
