Thanks Cathy I really enjoy gardening and trying to create new ways to do things. The pawpaw started as a double then I managed to get 8 trunks but I had to remove 3 as it was a bit much for the root stock to produce that much fruit. I have 5 trunks remaining all producing lots of fruit plenty...
Not sure what's happenig there maybe it's because you may peel it too much. Here's the bed i planted 10 days ago with the same method and got 100% success so far out of 50 garlic only 4 haven't sprouted yet but I'm sure they're on the way..
Just make sure you plant in nice loose soil I use a stick about as wide as your thumb to push a hole in the ground and put the garlic in hard end down with the wispy end just poking out of the soil. Keep moist and should see sprouts in a week or two also make sure you leave the dry skin on don't...
Got 4 of the 6 beds under way probably a little early as the beds are still settling but I couldn't wait. Got 4 squash going and producing well and just put in some lettuce, carrots, spring onions, celery and one bed full of garlic.

Na first one I've put a bit of research into it though so hopefully all works well.. I also work part time out at Tullamore Farm at Kerri where I learn alot to do with organic farming off Bill and the crew..
Orchard #1 is now complete.. Watering once a week will be all that is needed and wait for the fruit to start in a couple of years..

Orchard # 1 almost complete..
Planted 6 new fruit trees this week and gave them a good start with some mini hugal culture in each hole and timber placed to retain more water and provide nutrients. Just finished placing the timber on the downhill side of each of the first 9 fruit trees we put in...

Anyone have any experience with the Brazilian Cherry 🍒 the flavour as is can be rather tart with an unual after taste. Any jammers out there using these strange but very beneficial fruit.
Got 4 filled just before the rain hit 2 weeks ago and because it was fresh soil that hadn't settled some got washed out and the beds sunk 4-5 inches. Had a chance today to mix some soil and top up those beds unfortunately ran out of mix due to some getting washed away in the rain. Only 2 left.. 😁
Totally understand it takes a lot of will power not to plant too soon you can just imagine the beautiful produce bursting from the beds.. Wish I compacted the soil a little though, we've just had over 300 ml in the last 3 days and it has washed I little out throught the corner joins.
Cheers mate not sure on what the plan is for this section to be honest I don't think the beds will be ready to plant until spring. I put a fair amount of vegetation at the bottom of each bed it will probably take about 12 weeks for everything to settle.
I live a very alternate life which started 10 years ago when I discovered fasting and the amazing health benefits we can gain naturally. I progressed onto meditation and learning about the pranic system and a yogic lifestyle which uses nature to heal. I take turmeric each day with other plant...
Howdy group just thought I'd share a little tip that may help your roses from dreaded die back. Once you cut your roses back get some turmeric powder in a small container dip in your finger and wipe over the freshly cut end. This will keep the cut healthy and help the healing process.
