We had 8+ landscape bags of aggregate left over from various projects, so I built/planted raised beds, created paths, and made a Rock Garden with in-ground fountains from excavating the basement.
We have a permanent herd of deer on our "hill" as well as field mice, moles, voles, hares, foxes, coyotes, groundhogs, and bears -- and this was built to provide as much protection as possible. So far, so good.
The garden is doing well. 3 Sisters are underway, and we've been eating mixed green salads most days of the week since early April. Also, I built 3 cold frames on the back/South side for winter veg.
