Hi, I'm from Brisbane and found this site while googling info on the Helena Olive. My tree has finally got fruit, and now I'm wondering when to I pick it and hoping for some suggestions on curing.

Welcome Jnel :)

My Helena olive trees have fruit for the first season also but not much... I should get a few kgs from my Manzanillos this year to compensate - they're nearly ready to pick.

How old are your Helenas? Mine would be at least 7 or 8 years - I thought they'd never flower!

I'm wondering when to I pick it and hoping for some suggestions on curing.
I pick my olives when the first ones start to turn colour

See this thread for curing olives I did some last year and they turned out awesome

Hi Mark

My tree would have to be around 7 years. A couple of my olives have changed colour, so looks like I might have a job this weekend.

I can't wait to give it a go, thanks for the instructions !
