Hey everyone,
Had a look at my vege’s today and noticed overnight some browning on the tips of my
Butter head lettuces.
Planted among the lettuces are beetroot which have a fungal disease I treated the day before with an organic homemade fungicide (water, baking soda, oil and soap) Wondering if these are related?
Cheers!
Note it’s been super rainy in Perth WA this last week.

H Jack and welcome!

Yes it seems both are due to the wet weather.
I'd pick and eat the lettuces asap.
As for the beets, remember that generally organic treatments are only good until the leaves get wet again.
Copper is a good antifungal also and is a bit systemic which is why there is confusion as to whether it can continue to be considered organic!
I use it all through winter and in wet humid summers and autumns.
I wouldn't have anything growing if I didn't spray copper on everything including full sized mango trees.

Cheers for the advice ClissAT,
Been harvesting these lettuces as a cut and come again for about 2 months now so I wasn’t too happy seeing the discoloration. Will look into a copper spray for these beetroots.
Thanks :D
