Maybe she tasted fruit like my tree produced this year!
Unless you already knew gc fruit was really nice and juicy, you would not be impressed with what my tree offers this year.
In the end it didn't really matter anyway because the bats got the rest over the last few nights.
They cleaned out all the mangoes and have started on mandarines, pomegranate, pears, lychees and whatever else they can find.
My df have started flowering this week and I'm sure the bats will get them too.
Tree looks the same but I can see the bracts on yours are redish.
Just also noting how close the tree is to your house. Make sure you keep it very well pruned because it grows huge!!
Mine would be over 5x5x5m now and still growing.
I'll try to prune mine this year.
Also from me fertilizing my tree, the neighbours' silky oak has benefited mostly from the downstream effects of the fertilizer and now out-competing my tree so it is growing crooked.
Its very top heavy so I need to keep it straight.
