Greetings from Wellington, New Zealand

Kia ora (or G'day) from Wellington, New Zealand! After enjoying Mark's videos and blog for a few months, I've finally signed up to say hello.

We're trying to be more self sufficient on our suburban section, with a big garden, chickens, and a host of ideas to improve this house (our first home) inside and out.

I look forward to engaging with your all, sharing experiences (good and bad), and maybe even trading a few recipes along the way!

Developing your own home and yard with respect to self-sufficiency and DIY has to be one of the most rewarding and fulfilling activities anyone could do. We do like the odd holiday but I can say my wife and I get as much enjoyment out of gardening and home improvement than a good weekend away - and I'm not kidding!

Looking forward to reading about your projects and hopefully seeing a few pics!

Thanks - and yes, planes often fly in sideways here, just like the rain! (We have horizontal rain tonight, actually...)
