Flow Hive Bee hive invention to let honey run out

Being a hobbyist beekeeper in the 70's and again in the90's I find this incredible. I'm definitely going to look into this. I've shied away from honey bees since getting our land here. Mainly cost, hive loss and my back. Getting supers is hard work. I still have a gallon of my honey from years...

Incubator Chinese No name JN 48 Manual

I'm sorry to hear of your troubles with your Janoel. I agree with Mark. If you can't get it working ship it back to the seller. They don't want a bad rating so they should not have a problem with replacing the unit or refunding your money. Mine is holding out so far (fingers crossed) I have one...

DIY Chicken Feeder bulk bin no mess no spill no clog

I finally made Mark's DIY bucket feeder. I didn't have the chicken guard material on hand, so I used some pipe insulation. I will pick up some when I go to town. I sure hope it works, I am tired of wasted feed!

First watermelon harvested and banana talk

Yes, Mark I want to figure out an area for that. Citrus, figs and avocados also. I've always wanted to build an orangery. I believe it was the ancient Italian culture that built them out of stone. The sun would heat the area up for that very reason. An added plus would be a beautiful spot to...

First watermelon harvested and banana talk

I would love to be able to grow bananas and exotics here in Texas. Unfortunately one needs a greenhouse for that here. I am excited to start some pomegranates, they do well here. Olives also!

Yes Mark, I must thank Miss Lady Bird. I laughed when I saw how big it is. I imagined her saying to LBJ. I want a flower garden, and ya know everything is bigger in Texas! :)

    Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center

Thanks Stevo, I was happy to finally visit it. We will go back as their are miles of hiking trails that have been left alone to be the central prairie that it's supposed to be. :)

Hi Mark, I haven't insulated it, because I threw out all the foam that it was shipped with. I found out later I should have saved it and used it to surround the inky. I have mine inside in a hallway. I have noticed it is running louder now then it did. I hope it holds up until hatch! I'm a...

This is my 3rd hatch with my Janoel 48 incubator. I am getting better. This hatch was 17 out of 29 viable eggs. These are my neighbors buff orphington RIR cross. His wife will be selling them at the feed store she works at. I have 41 more incubating now. I'm at day 5 and will candle at day 10. I...
