New member in Wales

Hi.
I’m new to this site and to self sufficiency !
I’ve just bought 13.5 acres and a small barn in the Prescelli mountains in Wales.
I’m just about to get some poultry in - quail,hens,ducks etc. I’m getting a polytunnel and planting an orchard and a few hundred willow trees as it’s very exposed up here !
My dogs keep me company and my sisters six cats are currently resident as well. The horses are coming up next week as soon as I get water on site.
I’m really interested in the website and all the articles on this website !

Buying your first acreage certainly is exciting.
How many horses?
My property in subtropical Australia is 16.5ac and takes my full attention!
It only supports 3horses.
I have a permaculture garden.
Join your local permaculture group to get all local help, seeds, information and advice.

Hi there.
We have 6 horses. Five Welsh Section D and one TB (thorough bred).
Thanks for the advice re permaculture society. I’ll look them up !

There's a lady in Nottinghamshire I think it is called Emma Massingale.
She has or had a string of 6 Welsh D that she trained up to do liberty roman riding.
I did that also in Australia but due to illness I haven't been able to ride for a few years now.

Edit....no, no! I'm getting my greys confused! Hers were Connemaras!
