    Hi there,

28/M from the west coast of canada. Expensive place to live but a hell of a lot cheaper when you make everything yourself. Found this site by searching around for dehydrator stuff and figured I'd hang around for a bit.

Enough about me, let me outline some of my recent projects.
    • Waterproofed a coat with beeswax/paraffin
    [IMG]
    • Rendered half gallon of lard
    [IMG]
    • Picked a few pounds of edible mushrooms
    [IMG]
    • Dehydrated said mushrooms
    [IMG]
    • Currently dehydrating bananas

    • Fixed my bike. Always fixing this damn thing.

I have my own semi self sufficiency website too, Five Gallon Ideas. Can't link because I'm too new. It's about buckets and the things you can do with them.

Welcome Trev and thanks for joining us I hope you hang around for more than a "bit" mate :)

Is that lard rendered from your own stock? I raise ducks but haven't saved any lard yet although I have been meaning to... my pekins tend to be pretty lean actually not sure I can get much fat off them!

When I think of Canada I picture snow and ice in winter so what's the temperature range where you are?

Feel free to link to your work/hobby/info website etc here on SSC as long as it's within context and fits our theme or discussion subject we encourage you to share no problem (you can also use signatures as a Premium Member).
