Looks nice and tidy with the brick surrounds.
However I fear you underestimate the weight of a DF plant! ;)

never under estimate anything, its rio mesh on top which will hold over 500kg quite easily with room to play :)

I'm more thinking of the steel posts(pickets) which will bend inwards or lean over in response to the weight on top of them in years to come.

Asian farms use big strong 4-6inch steel pipe like bore casing or what we would term a round hardwood fence post or 8-10 inch coppers logs and there has to be a very good reason why or they wouldn't make that investment. All of those will have motorbike tyres on frames or strong wooden cross braces on the top to prevent damage to the segments where they bend over to stop disease entering.

I know how heavy my vines are already. It takes two men to lift the weight of a vine so I can replace rotten ties where they are tied to the palm trees. I prune mine very short every year but still there is considerable weight. All the vine roots are not strong enough to hold the weight of the extra segments come fruiting time.

Lucky Sarah! My birthday is coming up ... a nicely fitted out 200 series diesel Sahara would be nice. :) ;)

Ray, I like your work. Brickwork edging looks very good!
