Well hello everybody!

I've finally got around to posting after I signed up a while ago, and I did have a burning question about Chilean Guava, but since then both me and the guava haven't been well, and sadly I'm not sure the guava will survive (pretty sure I'll survive though, I think haha).

Anyway, I'm a beginner food gardener with the aim to grow veggies to help out my low income budget which doesn't allow much room for fresh fruit and veg, so I'm hoping to pick all your brains on growing from kitchen scraps and seeds in an arid climate!

Cheers,

Kitty.

Doublegees are a weed in Western Australia, I think they originate from South Africa. You can't kill the seed pods with chemicals and they run riot over everything. The poor dogs get them stuck in their paws and occasionally bring them into the house where inevitably I end up standing on them :-@

Hi Kitty my way to get doublegees out of our backyard when We lived in Wa was every evening after work I would walk around the back yard wearing thongs then stop and clean them into a bucket and then burn the spiky little ****s and hey presto 6 months all gone depends how big an area you have . DON'T FORGET WEAR A THICK PAIR OF THONGS don't ask how I came to this conclusion. Cheers Dave
